I haven't been updating this too much lately. I need to get back around to it more often, as well as update the screenshots one of these days.

I have gotten Warrior to level 69. Since then, I have gotten the Pendragon Axe (Great Axe), and Acha d'Armas (1h axe) from NM's, a Hauberk, and have participated in HNM fights. FFXI is starting to turn around for me, and I'm enjoying it a lot right now, unlike earlier where I felt it was the same old thing all the time. I'll get 70 soon (hopefully), and beat Maat so I can finally reach 75 after over two years.

I have continued work on the new video, which I am still calling Enfants du Cristal, despite the fact that it's completely different than what I originally planned. I worked for a few hours on it tonight, and it's coming along nicely. I'm pretty sure it'll be ready by the 27th, given the fact that I only need to fill in about twenty seconds of video or so. It'll be posted here on the 27th when it's ready.

Time for another much needed update.

I've been working on leveling Warrior and Ninja lately. Ninja is finally 37, so I don't believe I'll level that much anymore, except for maybe 40 for BCNM's. And now Warrior is level 68.

As for Enfants du Cristal, I may cancel it. I saw another video that was made a little while back, and while it was different, it was still kind of putting out the main point that mine was going to. I'm still iffy about cancelling it. If I do, I'm going to start work on another. Either way, my goal is to get the it video done by Februrary 27th. Stay tuned for more details.

Been a looong time since I've updated, so here's a quick summary of what's happening.

Been trying to level. Really close to 65. I've just been having a hard time getting a party lately.

After not working on it for a looong time, I have ressurected the Enfants du Cristal project. Still have no idea when I'll get it done, but hopefully it won't be too long.

Sabs reached level 70 today. Seems like it was just yesterday when I met her and she was still in her 30's. Congrats Sabs.

I've been meaning to get new screenshots up lately since I haven't done so in a while. So I'll try to get those up sometime real soon.

And this isn't FFXI releated, but Swishiee.com has gone through a redesign. It's pretty much the same as this, but a differet font and colours. Check it out if you're interested.

Haven't been up to too much lately. Been leveling DRG a little, which is now at level 11. My WAR is still at 62, but I'm going to continue working on that soon. And Enfants du Cristal is still in production. I just haven't gotten to working on it lately. It will be out, eventually. I'll probably get back to that as soon as the servers learn to stay up. More coming soon.

September 11, 2005 9:45 PM

I've been working on my new FFXI video over the past few days, and I'd say it's coming along quite well. Probably a few more weeks until it's finished.

It's titled "Enfants du Cristal", which translate from French as "Children of the Crystal". As mentioned before, it'll probably be a few more weeks until it's done. I'm estimating at least September 20th. Stay tuned for more details.

September 9, 2005 2:11 AM

The site isn't dead. I just haven't been up to much lately. Scheduling conflicts and other things have been getting in the way of gameplay. Not to mention the vacation I just got back from. But, things should be getting back to normal soon. Sabs, myself, and a few others are working on another project which will hopefully be done by the end of the month, and I'm working on another video. I'll post when each project is done.

July 26, 2005 12:32 PM

Time for another much needed update.

Thanks to the help of Cmdrfly and Galix over at QCDN I now have a Tungi. A Tungi is a Rare and Ex axe that supposively has a hidden effect that enhances double attack. Thanks a lot you two.

We restarted the static a few weeks ago, and now my Warrior is level 61! And Sabs is close behind in getting 61. She's going to party on her own once to get it. Good luck Sabs! And also, Palum has worked on catching up to us, and is currently 59, close to 60!

The PrarieBears helped Palum get a few of his AF coffer keys last week. Congratus Palum on your AF!

Sabs, Pompidou, and myself started the new quest for a Goblin helm. Sabs had hers crafted last night. I still have to get most of the materials. It's awesome.

Sabs and I have been working on our lower level jobs, and my SMN is now 12 and her BLM is also 12! Congratulations Sabs!

Today I did my duty as the PrarieBears' Delkfutt's Tower guide and led Dugrasse through to get Rank 4. Congratulations Dugrasse! Now let's get you Rank 5 and your airship pass.

A few new screenshots are in the gallery, one including me wearing Sabia's Goblin helm.

I believe that's all there is for now. I'll try to start updating more often.

July 6, 2005 4:28 AM

Sabia and I are going to start up the static soon, so more adventures as Warrior will be coming soon. We hope to get to Dynamis soon, as well as do other high level stuff.

Sabs, Palum, and myself all went to do Genkai III to raise our level cap to 65 last week. Thanks to Legalus, we were able to do Beadeux and Davoi very fast. And then we did Castle Oztroja without him, and that turned out to work well also, other than Palum's death. Thank you Legalus for helping us out.

I leveled NIN some more Sunday night, and it reached 32. It's been slow for me leveling it, but I'm getting there. My goal is to at least get 37. Utsusemi: Ni is getting up to one million Gil though. /sigh

And last up: I just noticed that the gallery has reached over 1000 hits! I'm hoping that everyone who is visiting the site is enjoying it. If anyone has any comments/suggestions, feel free to email me at e_swisher@swishiee.com, or PM me (username: Swishiee) over at QCDN.

June 23, 2005 2:44 AM

I've started working on my Ninja again over the past few days. I got into a couple of decent parties, and I got it to level 31. My goal is to stop at 37, or possibly 40 for BCNM purposes. I also have been working on my SMN with Sabs, and that's at level 10, and her BLM is at level 10 as well.

My good friend Eleibfrid took on the Sea Horror solo today, and made a video of it. It's a really good video if you ask me. You can find a link to it on the videos page.

June 12, 2005 1:08 AM

I haven't been updating much lately, but this is to let you know that I'm still alive. Nothing eventful has happened in the game recently. Sabs and I are working on getting money, leveling our subs, leveling our lower jobs, and other things. We have plans for later. We're just working on other things right now. I'm probably not going to update very much, except for screenshots.

Speaking of screenshots, six new screens have been added to the gallery.

May 26, 2005 1:34 AM

Sabia recently reached level 58, so we were finally able to start leveling our main jobs together, for the first time ever. After the first party, I got level 59 back, and got close to level 60. She got to level 59. Then in our second party a week after, I reached level 60, and she got to 59. The next night she started a party, and said that she needed me when I logged into the game. So I joined them. Sabs got really close to 60, but didn't quite get it. The next night she partied and got level 60!

Congratulations Sabia on level 60!

I've known Sabia since I was level 52, and I met her almost a year ago. So that means I've been in the 50's for close to a year, if not a year. I finally got out of the 50's. Sabs and I don't plan to continue leveling at the time. We have other things to do first before we continue.

I've added new screenshots in the gallery. A couple of them are of Sabs and myself in full AF. With the last gallery update, the number of screenshots has surpassed 200! Next step is 300, but I think my next step will be 500...

May 15, 2005 2:49 AM

I haven't updated for a while, so here's what's been going on.

A couple weeks ago, I organized a mission 5.1 run for Sabia and Palum. The mission was a complete success, other than Mug's death. After we finished, we got a few of the people who completed 5.1 to come and do 5.2 and fight against the Shadow Lord. The fight against him came pretty close, but in the end we won. After that, Meeze too Sabs, Palum, and myself to do Windurst 6.1. I didn't need the mission, but I came along to help out. Sabs accidently spawned the NM's for the quest, not knowing that they spawned at the place she examined. Sabia, Meeze, and myself ended up dying. After we got ourselves resituated, we tried again. We beat it with no problems.

Congratulations on Rank 6 to Sabia and Palum, and the rest who got it with them!

Six new screenshots have been added to the gallery. Only a few more until 200 in the main gallery!

April 26, 2005 12:50 PM

Sunday afternoon, I took it upon myself to find an exp party for Warrior. I ended up getting a party in Gustav Tunnel. The party was good. EXP per mob was fairly low, but we were killing them so fast that it didn't matter much. After a couple hours in the party, I ended up getting level 59. Now I can equip my Hauby.

Later that night, Sabia and I got a party together and leveled our subjobs in Yhoator Jungle. Both of us got them to level 30, and we're more than half way to 31. Now the both of us are going to try a BCNM30 with a friend. Hopefully it'll drop what we want it to drop.

New screenshots have been added to the gallery.

April 21, 2005 2:11 AM

Haven't upadted for a couple weeks, so here's a little of what has been going on lately.

A few days ago Sabia, Palum, and myself were invited to get the next Chains of Promathia mission (after Promyvion) done. It took a little while, like when the whole alliance died once, but we got it done. Wasn't too hard. Only problem was that it was in an alliance, and we all know how hard those are sometimes.

Sabia got into a group doing Summoner Artifact 3, in which she has to go to the Proyocrystal where Ramuh and Garuda are, and fight NM's in the battlefield. We had almost a full alliance there, and we beat the NM's no problem. We even set the record for both of the AF3 battlefield. The next day she got her Temple coffer done. So she has all of her AF done. Congratulations Sabs!

I believe those have been the only big things that have happened lately. I may be forgetting something, but I'm a little tired. So please forgive me.

I have added several new screenshots in the gallery. I'm getting close to hitting the 200 mark in the main gallery.

April 8, 2005 0:33 AM

Honeymoon screens are finally up! Click here to see them!

April 4, 2005 1:22 AM

Well, it took lots of planning and organizing, but I was able to get a full alliance together to do Warrior Artifact 3. The fight was extremely easy, although it could have been tougher if we didn't get so much high level help from the always awesome NAFireblade and Eleibfrid.

So now I have all six pieces of Warrior artifacts. All I need to do is get to level 60 and I'll be in full AF! Thank you to everyone who came, and congrats to the rest of the Warriors who also got their AF3.

After that, we got together with NAFB again to get Sabia, Palum, and Porum their Genkai II done. It was a piece of cake. Congratulations to Sabia, Palum, Porum, and the others who completed Genkai II!

All of the past news has been moved to the news archive. Also, the honeymoon screenshots keep getting delayed, but I'm hoping to have them up by Tuesday or Wednesday. Stay tuned for that.

March 30, 2005 1:00 AM

The project that I have been mentioning for over a month now is finally done! It is a video of all the places Sabia and I visited for our honeymoon. Check it out on the videos page. Or you can directly get it here.

The honeymoon screenshots will be up fairly soon. I haven't posted them because I want to get them all up at once. I only have about two more to go. Sabs also said that she will work on getting her wedding and honeymoon screenshots up fairly soon as well.

March 23, 2005 2:36 AM

Two new videos have been added to the videos page. Another wedding one, and the skillchain video I had in the gallery before. Navigation links for the videos page have also been added.

March 22, 2005 2:42 PM

Fifteen new screenshots have been added to the gallery. Also, I'd like to introduce the videos page. Right now it only has Dirgesong's video on it and one other, but more will come soon.

March 21, 2005 3:00 AM

Tonight we got together to do more Promyvion runs. First we did Promyvion - Mea. We got through alright, but the BCNM wasn't so successful. I died shortly in the beginning, and soon after everyone else fell. We were defeated, but we weren't going to give up yet. We were lucky and a party was in the Spire of Mea when we were teleported out of the battlefield. After they were nice enough to raise us, we went in again. Only this time, we came out victorious.

After Mea, we went for Holla. Holla's layout is a pain in the neck. Not only that, but there were several other parties doing a run at the same time. Luckily, we found out that the Memory Recepticles that you need to defeat to move on in Promyvion are free targets. What that means is if I were to attack it, another person not in my party could attack as well. So we fought the Recepticles with the other parties, and made it through Holla. The BCNM was a joke. We went in, fought it, and walked out. It barely even hurt us.

After the cutscenes, we were teleported to Lufaise Meadows where we met up with a friend of one of the party members, who was nice enough to show us around and help us get our maps of the region.

So now we have access to the region, and we plan to do some more exploring later on. Good work to everyone who participated.

I have screenshots, but I will put them up in the gallery tomorrow. I'm also putting up a video by Dirgesong in the wedding gallery tomorrow as well. Also, I'm hoping to finish my project, that I've mentioned a few times, soon. Mine and Sabia's schedules haven't been too good lately, and we haven't had much time to be together so I can work on it. Now that we have Promyvion done, hopefully I'll be able to finish it. Check back for that soon.

March 14, 2005 5:54 PM

Yesterday our Promyvion static (minus Porum) went and did Promyvion - Dem. We went in, and beat the Empty NM, no problem. So next week we're going to do Promyvion - Mea, and possibly Promyvion - Holla.

After we were done, we went to Sea Serpent Grotto to get a coffer key for Sabia. After about two hours or so of destroying Sahagin and other fiends, her key dropped. After it dropped, everyone left but her, Lanien, and myself, so we could go look for her coffer. I ran back to Norg real quick to get some silent oils, just in case. When I came out, she and Lanien were dead. They were fighting more stuff, but they got aggro and link and died. I made my way back to them, my sneak wore off, and I died too. It was fun.

Nine new screenshots have been added to the gallery. Also, you may or may not have noticed, I've made a few small changes to the site. It now has a favicon, and I've changed all the pages from .html to .php. I'm also working on the comments system for news posts, like I was before. So look back for that soon.

March 13, 2005 3:40 AM

I forgot to mention in my last entry that I took Dirgesong to Delkfutt's Tower to get Rank 4. Along the way we met up with another party and ended up making an alliance with them. We got to where the key dropping NM spawns, killed him, and got everyone their keys.

Congratulations to Dirgesong on Rank 4! We'll get you Rank 5 soon.

One thing I found a little different in the party we allied with. A couple of them recognized us from QCDN and called us celebrities. The day before someone called me a celebrity as well. I never knew it, but is it possible that I am a celebrity of Quetzalcoatl?

March 10, 2005 1:51 PM

Haven't updated for a while...

Anyway, about a week ago, Phraust and his coffer key team took me out to Castle Zvhal to get the last coffer key I needed. Not long after we started, a key dropped. Then Phraust pointed out a coffer right across the room. So I opened it and got my AF. So now I only need to do AF3.

We have started our own static to get Promyvion done. It consists of Falseprophet, Lanien, Palum, Porum, Sabia, and myself. We did Promyvion - Dem on Sunday to get our anima, and now we're going to go back on Sunday and do the actual run. Each week after we're going to do Holla and Mea as well.

I've been leveling a lot the past few nights, but I finally got to 58, and was able to equip the AF that Phraust got me. Two steps away from being complete...

Ten new screenshots have been added to the Gallery. Also, I plan to have Honeymoon screenshots up soon, as well as this project I'm still working on. Sabia and I haven't been able to finish because of scheduling problems and such.

March 1, 2005 2:37 AM

The first screenshots of the wedding are now up and available for viewing in the gallery. These screenshots are more hi-res than the ones taken with the FFXI screenshot system. Soon Sabia will upload her wedding screenshots to the gallery as well. After that, we'll be going through our screenshots from the honeymoon and post those there. I've also started work on a new project, and I'm hoping to have it done fairly soon.

February 28, 2005 2:04 AM

Well, I just finished the biggest day of my life in Vana'diel. I have big news. So big, that all of the other news had to be moved to the news archive. So are you all ready to hear about my day?

Today I got married to Sabia. The wedding took place on 2/27/2005, at approximately 2pm PST. We got married in East Sarutabaruta, in a special area only accessable when there are weddings. Sabs and I were nervous, but we got through it just fine. As part of the ceremony, we had to give each other a piece of food and explain what we had to go through to get it. I gave her some apple pies that I crafted myself. I secretly worked on my cooking when I found out about the food, and went from level 1 to 42 just to make her the pies. She gave me a piece of grilled mutton, which was made with sheep meat dropped from Stray Mary (for those of you who don't know, she's one of Sabia's biggest enemies).

As a special Valentione's Day gift from PlayOnline, we were allowed to choose one of two things. One thing was a special engraving service where we would be able to engrave a message on one of each other's items, or we could do a honeymoon service, where they give us a scroll of instant warp, and teleport us to almost any area of our choice (some restrictions applied, such as no Chains of Promathia areas). We chose the honeymoon service to the Hall of the Gods, since we couldn't engrave Rare/Ex items.

From the Hall of the Gods, we went to Bibiki Bay where we met up with some of the guests for an after wedding party. I gave out some Pineapple Juices that I crafted myself, and we just ran around and chatted and fought some fiends there.

Later in the night, Sabia and I continued our honeymoon, and traveled to Bibiki Bay and the Sanctuary of Zi'Tah. We plan to continue more traveling tomorrow night.

Thank you everyone who came to the wedding, and to everyone else with their well wishes and the like. Sorry we kept this whole thing a secret. We wanted to because we knew if people found out about the wedding, more people would want to come than we could invite.

Screenshots will be added to the gallery sometime soon. I still have to go through my screenshots and rename them and everything, and she's going to start adding some soon too. You'll probably see them in a day or two. I also have some other projects that I'm working on for wedding media. I'll post it once I'm done, which may be a week or so.

February 26, 2005 3:59 AM

I got online a little early today, so I decided to try for a party to get to level 57. About an hour after I joined, I leveled. I stayed for about another half hour or so, but then I had to go.

When I got back online tonight, I went to the Dunes to hang out with Sabia, Eilistrae, and Nayla. Shortly after, Palum came and joined us as well. We just killed Goblin trains, danced around, and just fooled around. It was fun.

Three new screeshots have been added to the gallery.

February 22, 2005 2:53 AM

Tonight I went out with Onions and a few others to do mission 6-1 and 6-2 for Bastok. First we went to the Altepa Desert and fought some NM Manticores we needed to beat for a key item, and then we fought a Cactuar NM for San d'Oria's 6-1.

After that, Sabia joined to help, and we headed to Ifrit's Cauldron for Bastok mission 6-2. We had to fight another two NM's, one bomb and one lizard, for an item that one of them dropped. Unfortunately, all of us died, including Sabia who I tried to save before she died :(. We ended up getting the drop though, since the bomb self-destructed. Unfortunately one member didn't get the item though, but they're going back to get it some other time.

From there, Sabia and I left the Cauldron and went by ourselves to Norg, in attempt to find a treasure chest inside Sea Serpent Grotto. We didn't find a chest, but we had fun wandering around the place. We're going to go back some other time and look again.

Four new screenshots from our missions tonight have been added to the gallery.

February 21, 2005 2:13 AM

Nothing to update about myself, but... CONGRATULATIONS TO SABIA ON GETTING FENRIR!

Two new screenshots have been added to the gallery. One with Sabia and Fenrir!

February 19, 2005 4:09 AM

Tonight Sabia and I explored Oldton Movalpolos again. We had some fun, especially since this time we're a higher level and we don't get much aggro. Makes things a lot more easy.

Also, congratulations to Sabia on getting all her Avatar whispers, and getting her Moon Bauble for Fenrir! All she has to do is defeat Fenrir and she has all the Avatars!

Two new screenshots have been added to the gallery from our explorations tonight.

February 18, 2005 2:39 AM

Well, today was a pretty good day.

First off, I logged on and waited for people to get online from QCDN to go fight the Shadow Lord, and get us Rank 6. It took a few hours, but we finally got organized, and left for Castle Zvhal. It took us a while, but we finally found our way to the castle's keep, and from there we found our way to the Throne Room. Once we were ready, we went inside, and faced the Shadow Lord. Unfortunately, we weren't prepared for some of what he had in store, so we ended up being defeated. After we were teleported outside of the battlefield, the White Mage used Reraise and then Raised the rest of us. It took a little bit of arguing, but we decided to try him one more time, since we knew what to expect. We went in, and beat him pretty easily. So now I am Rank 6.

After I went back to Bastok and got Rank 6, I met up with Sabia to farm. We had fun farming together, as usual, and we've made a lot of money so far. And we still have more stuff to sell. Sabia and I are a great farming team.

Seventeen new screenshots have been added to the gallery. Some from the past few nights, and several from going to Castle Zvhal tonight.

February 14, 2005 2:58 AM

Tonight Sabia and I exchanged Valentine's Day gifts. I gave her an Inferno Sword with my name signed on it, that I made from the Eartg type crystal I got for the event. I also gave her 11 roses. The reason for 11 is because I have her one rose when I proposed to her, so the 11 made it one dozen roses. She gave me a couple fireworks, and one rose. She said she has more for me, but she said it'll be a couple weeks.

Later we went farming in Tahrongi Canyon and Korroloka Tunnel. We got some really good drops tonight. I took the beehive chips we got and turned them into beeswax. Then we went to Korroloka Tunnel to get some slime oils so I could make some more silent oil to sell in Jeuno. We also got a few pairs of Gigas' socks while in the tunnel.

No new screenshots are up, but I did upload a video in the gallery as a test. I don't think I'll really put many videos up, but I just wanted to see how it works on there. Check it out.

February 2, 2005 2:03 AM

One new screenshot has been added to the gallery. Also, Sabia added some of her screenshots to her album. You can view them here.

February 1, 2005 3:05 AM

Sabia and I went chest and coffer hunting tonight. Our first (and last) stop was Quicksand Caves. We looked around for a coffer to get the map, but didn't find one. Sabia did get the key item needed to complete the Teleport-Altep scroll quest. Shortly after that, my Sneak wore off and were were aggroed by Cactuars. She was able to warp out alive, but I ended up being K.O.'d because of the equip delay on my Warp staff. It was fun though. After, we farmed around the Altepa Desert until we reached Rabao.

I redid the Profile page last night. Now it has a couple tables to keep my stats for my jobs and crafts organized. I'm still thinking of adding more features to the site. I tried to install a forum, but it didn't work right. Maybe I'll try a different kind later.

January 31, 2005 2:18 AM

Two new screenshots have been added to the screenshot gallery. Also, I am pleased to announce a new addition to the gallery. Sabia now has her own album, in which she will be able to add screenshots to. You can get there by clicking the link, which is the first thumbnail in the main gallery.

Also, all the past news has been moved to the News Archive again, just in case you were wondering at all.

January 28, 2005 2:15 AM

Nothing much has been going on lately. Just the usual farming sessions with Sabia, or crafting. I did manage to get Ninja up to 29, so I'm now caught up with Sabia and Palum's level 29 jobs (which it'd be there, if I didn't have connection problems the night we were leveling).

I'm sure there will be more to update sometime fairly soon.

January 17, 2005 10:31 PM

Last night I delivered the last two elemental staves that Sabia needed to her in the Crawler's Nest, and I saw that a couple parties were having trouble. One party trained some Rumble Crawlers, then escaped on the people helping them. I ended up killing one, almost getting a second, but I was dumb and got hate for two at the same time (not thinking of how they check as to me), and I ended up dying. It was fun though.

After that, Sabia, Palum, and I went hunting for Stray Mary. We didn't find her though.

Today, I helped Dirgesong, owner of the PrarieBears linkshell, get the Samurai quest done.

So, congratulations to Sabia on finishing her staff collection! And congratulations to Dirgesong on getting Samurai!

As for screenshots, ten have been added to the gallery. The total number of screenshots up is now at 107! Who knows. Maybe one of these days it'll reach 200 screenshots!

January 16, 2005 1:01 PM

Today a few of the PrarieBears, people we know from QCDN, and I all helped Porum get his ancient papayrus. It only took us about an hour or so. Congratulations Porum!

January 14, 2005 1:00 AM

Congratulations to Sabia and Palum on their success with Genkai I! On Wednesday they got their ancient papayrus, which was the last item they needed for the quest.

On Sunday we're going to go after the paper for Porum from PrarieBears. Hopefully it'll go as well as it did Wednesday.

January 12, 2005 2:37 AM

I helped Sabia and Palum get two thirds of their Genkai quest done. Last night we got the Exoray Mold from Exorays in the Crawler's Nest, and tonight we got the coal from the Explosures in Garlaige Citadel. We're planning on going to the Eldieme Necropolis on Sunday to get the Ancient Papayrus with some other help.

January 10, 2005 1:46 AM

The past few nights I haven't done much other than raising my Alchemy. I got it from 24 to 30 within the past few days.

Today Sabia got to level 50! Congratulations Sabia! I helped her and Palum try to get an Exoray Mold. Unfortunately, one didn't drop, but we're going to try again. Also, tonight Sabia and I just traveled around, farming, killing Goblins, all that fun stuff.

Three new screenshots have been added to the gallery. Only three more screenshots to go to 100!

January 7, 2005 3:40 PM

Six new screenshots have been added to the screenshot gallery.

January 6, 2005 2:30 AM

It took me about an hour or so, but I captioned all of the screenshots in the screenshot gallery. I even took the time to type a short description to the screenshots that I felt might need a little more of an explanation.

January 5, 2005 4:25 AM

Well, it took me a while, but I finally got it figured out. The screenshot gallery is back in business. It's lacking captions, and a few other customizations, but other than that, it's good. Also, new URL for those of you who have it bookmarked. http://www.swishiee.com/gallery/ffxi

A few new screenshots have been added. I'll have the captions and the last customizations ready in a day or two.

January 3, 2005 1:18 AM

Sorry about the site being down. My friend who was hosting the site changed hosts, so the site was down for a little while. Well, after some consideration, I finally decided to get my own hosting. So for those of you who may have the site bookmarked, the URL is now http://ffxi.swishiee.com

Nothing much has been happening lately. I helped Sabia try to get some Frog Trousers from an NM in Sea Serpeant Grotto a week ago with some people from QCDN. The NM popped, but unfortunately it didn't drop the trousers.

Last night I helped two of the PrarieBears get Rank 4 in Delkfutt's Tower, with the help of Sabia and Palum. We just wiped out everything in our path, instead of the usual sneaking around.

And tonight, Sabia and I farmed a for a couple hours. I believe that we may have gotten some decent gil from our farming tonight.

The site will have some technical difficulties for the next few days. I'm still setting everything up for swishiee.com. The screenshot gallery will be back soon, along with some new screenshots. I apologize for any inconvennience you may experience while visiting The Chronicles of Swishiee. The site will be fully up and running again soon.

December 22, 2004 3:48 AM

Tonight I went farming with Sabia in Gusgen Mines for bone chips, so I can make animal glue for her crafting. We spent a few hours in there, and it was her first time there. I didn't want to take her too far in, because of the dangers that lurked in the depths of the mines, and because they're creepy.

We ended up getting about two and a half stacks of bone chips, and we managed to kill the NM Smothered Schmidt, although he didn't drop.

Two new screenshots have been added to the screenshots section. Also, if you're looking for the past news from this page, it's all in the news archive. Click the link below to visit, and get the news all the way from when The Chronicles of Swishiee first started. And last, I added a link to the article of the Vana'diel Tribune that I was featured in on the Profile page.

December 19, 2004 3:21 AM

Four new screenshots have been added.

December 13, 2004 2:22 PM

I was busy yesterday. The best thing I did was that I spent a long time in the King's Tomb to level to 56. Now I can equip my AF mask.

Three new screenshots have been added.

December 10, 2004 2:29 AM

The site will possibly be down for a few days coming up. I'm not exactly sure when, but my friend who is hosting the site is changing his host. Once he's done changing, the site will be back up.

Also, I'm thinking of getting the same hosting as he is, so the site may end up having a new address soon.

December 9, 2004 2:52 PM

A new screenshot has been added to the screenshot gallery.

December 8, 2004 3:21 AM

A few things happened today.

First thing is that I finally created a mule character. She's a Hume Female name Samusaran. Her job? Bounty Hunter, or Warrior. Whatever you want to call it.

Second is that I partied in Boyahda Tree again tonight. I didn't level up, but I did manage to learn the Axe weapon skill Rampage, which is a really really nice skill.

And last is... Congratulations Sabia and Palum on getting Samura! I helped them fight the two Notorious Monsters to finish the quest. And now, they have the job unlocked.

A few new screenshots have been added to the screenshot gallery. One is of Samus, and the rest are of us doing the Samurai quest.

December 6, 2004 3:08 AM

Three new screenshots have been added in the screenshot gallery.

December 1, 2004 2:11 PM

I plan to add some new features here soon, and rework the site a little. Mainly this page. I'd like to make it so people can comment on a news post if they'd like, and maybe I'll add a guestbook or something of that sort. I'll have to find out how to do it without going to some site and signing up for one though. Check for those fairly soon, and possibly more.

December 1, 2004 2:55 AM

A few things happened today. I'll start with the in-game stuff, then the out of game, yet still FFXI related stuff.

Last night, Sabia and I leveled our low level jobs again. We both got to level 8. We're planning on moving to level in the Canyon soon.

Tonight, I ended up finally getting a party for my Warrior. It took two parties, but I finally got to level 55. It seems as if I've been level 54 for months (which I probably have been).

Now for the out of game stuff. If you didn't notice, from the POL Community Tool on the home page, this site is now part of the PlayOnline Community. For anyone visiting the site from clicking a link at PlayOnline.com, welcome to the site, and I hope you enjoy it.

November 23, 2004 2:25 AM

I finally came up with a name for the site. The name, if you haven't already noticed, is now "The Chronicles of Swishiee".

Thanks go to Scizofrenic for helping me out with deciding a name, and to duffey for helping me decide on a logo.

November 22, 2004 1:41 PM

Yesterday turned out to be pretty fun. We held the PrarieBears Naked Race, although only five participated, instead of however many that were planned to show up. Congratulations Rioka for winning first place, and Korwin for getting second. Rioka got a field tunica, and Korwin got 10k in gil.

After the race, I ran around a little (I still had to get to Jeuno after the race was over, at level 1). And then Sabia got online. We went and did the quest for a scroll of Utsusemi: Ichi, for her. We got it, minus the wrong turn I took near the end.

After that, we took some lower level jobs and leveled in West Sarutabaruta. I got Summoner from level 4 to level 6, and she got her Black Mage from level 5 to level 6. We both plan to level these jobs together more, since we had a lot of fun doing it.

A few new screenshots have been added to the screenshot gallery. Check them out.

And for those who didn't know, yesterday was my birthday. I didn't really do much, but I did get a cool present from Sabia. It's my favorite out of everything that I got. You can see it below.

Thank you Sabia. :)

November 21, 2004 2:11 AM

A good friend of mine, Scizofrenic, decided that he's leaving FFXI yesterday. He, like most others who quit, has some things that he has to do in real life, which take importance over a video game.

He sent Sabia and I gifts for our wedding, as well as money to pay for the wedding. I was incredibly shocked at his generosity, although, he is a really good person and a nice guy, so it doesn't shock me quite as much, but it's still nice.

Good bye Scizofrenic. You will be missed.

November 14, 2004 2:12 PM

I added two new screenshots in the screenshots gallery. Sometime I'll get to typing a short description of the picture too, instead of just a caption, maybe.

November 12, 2004 0:52 AM

Today I posted at QCDN that I quit the linkshell BloodofLegends. You can read the post below.

No, I'm not leaving Final Fantasy XI. But, unfortunately, I'm leaving Blood of Legends. As you have probably noticed, I haven't been in the linkshell as often. Just to pop in and say "Hello" every once in a while.

I have a few reasons for leaving the shell. Some which I'll state in this post, and some which I'd like to keep personal, as to not offend anybody.

First off, I'm falling behind when it comes to level. I don't exp as much because I don't like to spend my whole time playing the game just exp'ing. There are a lot more things to do in the game, such as crafting, questing, missions, and I've been doing a lot of things besides exp'ing. Now, I know there are some people who are lower level than I am, but I feel as if at the level I am, I can't contribute to the linkshell. Most of the posts asking for help have been asking for around 60+, and I feel that I'm just useless to the linkshell.

Another is that since I've temporarily departed, I came back to the linkshell the way it was when I left. But, something troubled me. What that was is all the people in it. No, they didn't annoy me. I just didn't want to be in a big linkshell anymore. I know it's good to be in a good linkshell, but I just like to chat with just a few people, instead of 20+ at a time.

And third was that I returned to the linkshell last night, only to see some drama going on. I don't know exactly what was going on, but I was informed that some bull has been going on for a few days now. Last night I was very close to breaking some people's pearls, but I stopped myself from doing it. If there's one thing I can't stand in chat, it's stupid drama.

So there are my main reasons. I created a pearl for myself, but I am tossing my pearlsack. I will stop by and say "Hello" from time to time, or if I'm actually needed for helping, I'll equip the pearl. Watch, if you want, you can break my pearl. I don't care.

If any of you would like to talk to me, feel free to send me a /tell. Don't be a stranger.

Good bye, and good luck to all of you. I'll see you around Vana'diel.

And that was it.

November 4, 2004 2:00 AM

Time for another update. It's been a while since I've done so.

First, I'd like to welcome everyone from QCDN. I've finally decided to start letting more than just my close friends know about the site.

Second, the Screenshots page has been updated to be a gallery now, with captions and the ability to leave comments. This is what I have had planned for a long time, and now I've done it. Several new screenshots have been added. Feel free to add comments if you'd like. The Blood of Legends gallery should be completed fairly soon.

Third, is that I'm getting married. I proposed to Sabia early in the morning on Monday, October 25th. Our Chaperone for the wedding (the person who submits the application to Square Enix, etc.) is Scizofrenic. We have plans to have it in Sarutabaruta, whenever we can get it at a time we can all get online.

Sabia and I have both been spending time together exploring areas we like, and farming to pay for the wedding. I'm excited and I can't wait for the wedding (although we might have to wait since it appears as if a lot of other people are getting engaged recently).

That's all for now. I still need a name for the site, and then I think I can submit an application for the POL Community Sites. If you have any ideas for a name, PM me at QCDN, or send an email to e_swisher@swishiee.com.

October 12, 2004 4:33 PM

A few nights ago Palum helped Sabia and I level up our Theives in the Maze of Shakhrami. It went alright, other than Sabia getting aggroed by a Wight, and me getting killed by a Maze Makers's Full-Force Blow ability. My Thief is now close to 14. After 15 I'm going to stop leveling Theif for a little while, and use it as a support job for when I go farming.

Last night after seeking for a party for about two hours, I was able to get into one. We went and partied in Kuftal Tunnel. It was a really good party. After about an hour and a half I finally got to 54, and now I can equip my Fighter's Mufflers, and the Darksteel Claymore that I bought to level up my Great Sword skills.

Four new screenshots are up on the Screenshots page.

October 5, 2004 3:19 AM

Haven't done much over the past few days, other than one thing. I got my Warrior artifact gloves, which are called Fighter's Mufflers. A few days ago I got my Eldieme Necropolis coffer key, and then went out in searching for a coffer in the Necropolis. Took a little while, and I was unfortunately K.O.'d twice, but I got the key item. Tonight I went to Castle Zvahl Baileys to fight the Dark Spark. We beat it successfully, I got the key item, and we teleported out. Then I headed for Jeuno, and got the gloves.

Thanks go out to the following people for helping me out: Watchyourstep, Brianfist, Maurinendalorin, Scizofrenic, Shady, Kasuke, Tioxe, Lyx, Sactowngirl, and Tsoni.

I have two new screenshots up on the Screenshots page. I meant to take some of me getting my coffer, etc., but I just forgot during all of it.

Special note to Scizofrenic: Remember how I bought you the Field Tunica earlier? Well, look at this pic and see if that looks familiar...

September 29, 2004 1:44 AM

A few things have happened within the two days I haven't updated. First thing is last night, I helped my friends Shadowwraith, Sabia, and Palum do two out of the three parts for Rank 5. For Sabia and Palum, Beadeux and Davoi were the last two parts they needed, so I helped them do that, and Shadowwraith needed all three, so he came along to get those parts done. We successfully did those two parts without any big problems. Sabia and Palum are now Rank 5. Congratulations you two. Shadowwraith still needs to do Castle Oztroja, and I'm going to help him with that part if I'm able to. To celebrate them getting Rank 5, Sabia drew me the picture below and posted it at Quetzalcoatl Daily News.

As for today, I got a party in Boyahda Tree to get experience points. It went alright, but I died so I didn't really gain any experience from it. A few members left, and were replaced. When all the replacements came, we were asked if we wanted to partake in taking down an NM known as Aquarius in the area. It drops a cloth worth around a million gil, and a Rare/EX axe. You can read about the challenging fight here.

I added a few new screenshots on the Screenshots page from last night, and the NM fight tonight.

September 27, 2004 2:01 AM

Tonight I went to Yhoator Jungle to help Kasuke, from Blood of Legends, get a piece of his artifact armor for Ninja. We had to fight three different Sahagin Notorious Monsters. The fight was fun, and was actually a little easier than I expected. Although, I was only there to hit stuff with my axes. After that I logged out. Congratulations Kasuke!

Three new screenshots from the fight are up on the Blood of Legends page. It's hard to see in the first one, but the White Mage behind Kasuke is Scizofrenic. His name is a little covered up.

September 25, 2004 12:43 PM

Last night Scizofrenic and I continued our adventures. We went back to Movalpolos to see if there might possibly be anywhere to get the map in there. We didn't find it. We did find some odd area that required you to press three switches simultaneously. Couldn't find out how to get them all though.

After Movalpolos, we went to Attohwa Chasm and looked around there. We fought a few Antlions, and they helped me level up my great sword skill with each fight. After about 20 minutes of walking around there, we headed to Xarcabard to check out Uleguerand Range. When we got to the range, we decided to teleport out, since fiends were checking as Tough to Scizofrenic and Incredibly Tough to me. We teleported out, and Scizo logged out.

I stayed on and headed to Jeuno in hopes to find a party. I got one and we leveled up in Kuftal Tunnel. After about an hour and a half, I finally leveled to 53, after being 52 for a very long time.

New screenshots are up on the Screenshots page. Check them out.

September 24, 2004 3:36 AM

Last two nights have been somewhat eventful.

Last night I leveled Ninja to 26, so I'm now finally half of my Warrior's level.

As for tonight, I got Chains of Promathia installed, and I started the first mission's cutscenes and everything. Then I went with a few people from my linkshell to help someone get Samurai Artifact 1 in the Sanctuary of Zi'Tah. After we were done with that, I met up with my friend Scizofrenic at the Crag of Mea and we started exploring some of the new areas. We first went to Bibiki Bay and rode the boat around, and did some clamming on the island. After that, we teleported to the Crag of Holla and looked around Carpenter's Landing. Didn't find much, but a map would have helped. From there we went to San d'Oria and bought the map, then teleported to the Crag of Dem. We went to Bastok to see if they sold a map for the Movalpolos region, but they didn't. So we went in without a map. We walked around and fought some Moblins and Goblins, and even some of those weird Bugbear things. After that, we teleported back to Holla, and Scizofrenic logged out as I went inside Promyvion - Holla to take a quick peek at what was in there. After that, I flew to Jeuno and ended up logging out.

Tomorrow Scizofrenic and I plan to go explore more of the new areas.

As for site updates, I've added some screenshots in the Screenshots section, where the dates of the screenshots go from a huge gap of when I first started, to now (I lost a lot of screenshots due to my old video card messing up the performance of PlayOnline Viewer with the latest drivers), and a few of them are from me and Scizofrenic's explorations. The Blood of Legends section has also been updated with a lot of new screenshots, most taken by Watchyourstep.

I have a plan on how to do the screenshot pages when you click on the thumbnails, but it might take me a little while to get it all up and running.

September 21, 2004 3:38 PM

I helped my friends Palum and Sabia get Rank 4 in Delkfutt's Tower last night. It was fun.

Test design version 2 is now up. Pretty much the same as V1, but it has more pages and I've fixed a few errors. The final version will be coming fairly soon.
